Scarlett Johansson and Planned Parenthood Join Forces to Sell Obamacare [AUDIO]
Johansson, Aisha Tyler and Gabrielle Union have recorded voice messages for Planned Parenthood
Women calling Planned Parenthood health centers throughout the United States this week may be surprised to hear a familiar voice on the line. ‘The Avengers’ star Scarlett Johansson, comedian Aisha Tyler, and ‘Think Like a Man’ actress Gabrielle Union have joined forces with Planned Parenthood to encourage callers to sign up for Obamacare.
Last Friday, Planned Parenthood- America’s leading sexual and reproductive health care provider and advocate- announced that the three actresses would be helping them to inform American citizens about the details and eligibility requirements of the Affordable Care Act aka Obamacare.
"We're grateful that Scarlett Johansson, Aisha Tyler, and Gabrielle Union are lending their voices to help make sure that Planned Parenthood patients learn about the law and how it will benefit them," Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards said in a press release.
All three women are actively involved in progressive politics, having lent their names and voices to previous Obama campaigns.
In the Planned Parenthood recording, which is currently being used at select health centres with plans to expand in the near future, Johansson asks “Did you know you may be able to enroll in new, more affordable health insurance plans?”
Mother Jones obtained the audio files from Planned Parenthood. Listen to Johansson’s below.
