Satirical media outlet, The Onion, has a selected a new victim to mock in their coverage: VICE News.

VICE is known for creating shock-worthy documentaries, and for reporting on unique and boundary-pushing stories. As a news outlet, VICE has oft chosen to take a pro-Palestinian stance, exaggerating the strenuous relationship between the Israelis and the Palestinians.

In The Onion’s first installment of a mock documentary called EDGE, they satirically showcase the Palestinian territories, displaying the Palestinians to be treated poorly because they do not have easy access to drugs.

The episode is called, “Beyond The Brink: How The Israeli Occupation Has Made It Impossible For Palestinians To Score Drugs.” It opens with an introduction from a lookalike of the famous VICE co-founder, Shane Smith.

The mockumentary than continues on to display a faux correspondent, Nic Moss, speaking to the cameraman from the West Bank. In the clip, Moss is trying to demonstrate the harsh conditions that the Palestinians live under, which prevent them from acquiring illegal substances. Moss mockingly describes how the checkpoints and curfews imposed by the Israelis prevents Palestinians from being able to party and acquire various narcotics.

“You can see all around me what it’s like here,” explains Moss. “People living in desperate conditions, completely cut off from coke, tranquilizers, even weed.”

During a faux Palestinian protest at the checkpoints, Moss yells out asking if anybody has any good cocaine. The fictional correspondent then yells to the Israeli soldiers, “If the Israelis have it, don’t you think the Palestinians should?!”

Moss conducted a number of false interviews with Palestinians, asking them about drugs. He concluded the segment stating that in order to help the Middle East, citizens of the world must help the Palestinians to obtain the drugs that they deserve.
