The National Teachers Union (NUT) in the UK is facing fire after the release of its new educational program, entitled "My Name is Saleh." Accused of indoctrinating British youth with Palestinian terrorism, the package is being criticized for providing students with a biased, "warped" perspective that discusses "occupation, freedom, and resistance."

Launched in partnership with Edukid, a children's education charity, the program is being heavily criticized by due to its clear bias against Israel, and its borderline anti-Semitic rhetoric. For example, images in the package include a Palestinian Arab child who was allegedly "assaulted by settlers," and a video launched alongside the package refers to "Jews" as perpetrators of the occupation, and not "Israelis".

Tom Wilson of the Henry Jackson Society think-tank called the project "overtly agenda driven," warning, "we need to be more vigilant about the politicization of British classrooms."

Wilson also pointed out that the video's direct reference to Jews as opposed to Israelis could risk "inciting tensions between faith communities in the UK," and added, "it is a particularly shameless example of political activism masquerading as a legitimate form of education."

Sam Westrop, director of the counter-extremism think-tank Stand for Peace, echoed many of Wilson's sentiments. By teaching "resistance" against Israel, Westrop believes that "NUT's political propaganda and misrepresentation serves the extremist agenda."

The UK charities commission is also reportedly responding to complaints about the package by investigating to see if Edukid has violated any regulations by releasing the package. A Department of Education spokesperson also noted, "the law is crystal clear, all political discussions in school should be unbiased and balanced."
