Woody Allen Speaks Out About Netanyahu

Jewish-American director Woody Allen has confirmed that he's standing by Obama’s agreement to the Iran deal, saying Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is either a 'visionary' or a 'fool.'

While promoting his latest film Irrational Man in France on Friday, Allen spoke up about the Iran deal, which 52% Americans were actually opposed to according to poll results shared by Israel National News.

President Obama discussed the deal with Jon Stewart early last week, stating that the work he and his team started at the beginning of his presidency by putting pressure on Iran to negotiate is finally coming to fruition. Obama went through with the nuclear deal despite Netanyahu calling it “a mistake of historic proportions”.

“There are only two ways to look at it: either Netanyahu was very visionary and sees things we don’t see, or he’s behaving very foolishly,” Allen said in an interview with Channel 10. He also mentioned that the "average American" is biased about the Prime Minister due to the media's negative perception of him.

Allen said that the average American may see Netanyahu as a leader taking his people down the wrong path and isn’t helping the United States because of who he is. “This could not all be true,” he continued. “But if you buy a newspaper in American or listen to the news on television that is the impression you get.”
