Dylann Roof, the shooter responsible for taking the lives of nine innocent church goers: Cynthia Hurd, 54, Rev Clementa Pinckney, 41, Rev Sharonda Coleman-Singleton, 45, Tywanza Sanders, 26, Ethel Lance, 70, Rev Depayne Middleton-Doctor, 49, Susie Jackson, 87, Rev Daniel Simmons Sr., 74, and Myra Thompson, 59, wanted to spread his racist agenda to the Jewish community as well.

In a manifesto from Roof released on Saturday and promptly taken down on Sunday, he stated that he became “racially aware” of the Jewish “problem” and sought to wipe out Jewish identity, according to Gawker. “Unlike many White nationalists, I am of the opinion that the majority of American and European Jews are white,” he wrote. “In my opinion the issues with the Jews is not their blood, but their identity. I think that if we could somehow destroy the Jewish Identity, then they wouldn’t cause much of a problem.”

“The problem is that Jews look white and in many cases are white, yet they see themselves as minorities,” he continued. “Just like n***ers, most Jews are always thinking about the fact that they are Jewish. The other issue is that they network. If we could somehow turn every Jew blue for 24 hours, I think there would be a mass awakening, because people would be able to see plainly what is going on.”

He concluded by saying that Jews were an enigma and he didn’t pretend to understand why the Jews did what they do.

Roof does touch on other races but dedicated most of the manifesto to African Americans, calling them the biggest problem for Americans and labeling them as “violent and stupid”. He went on to say that he didn’t think segregation was anything more than a defense measure.

Roof is currently being held on a $1 million bond.
