While most of you may think of Dirty Dancing's Baby and Johnny as the most romantic couple of all time, some of us more practical thinkers conjure other ideas when thinking of successful couples, particularly around this time - just days before Valentine's Day, which may have not started as a Jewish tradition, but one many of us in Diaspora certainly keep up with.

This may surprise you, but for me, and for like-minded saps, I think of my grandparents as providing the formula for romantic success, and a happy and healthy home. After all, they're still together, they were able to raise my mother (and survive), and they have the most life experience.

It seems I'm not alone in this line of thinking, after seeing 28-year-old Jonathan in a new clip called “Dating Advice from Bubbe and Zayde,” a new YouTube video produced by a non-profit senior care facility, Los Angeles Jewish Home.

As Jonathan so adequatley puts it, "JDate doesn't work, Tinder's too superficial, and Zoosk? Sounds like a virus."

True.

So Jonathan, armed with a zest for finding love, goes to Jewish seniors for help, asking Esther, Irving, Lee and the rest of the gang for help on how to find his beshert.

Jonathan explains online dating and what exactly is J Swipe, which many of the seniors don't seem to appreciate or get (I'm with you Irving!), as well as other methods of finding a date here in 2015.
