A British teenager decided it would be a good idea to recreate a timeline of the Holocaust, solely using Lego pieces, for a high school assignment.

The 16-year-old schoolboy, reports Northern Star, posted a series of photos showing the thorough timeline of the Holocaust recreated with Lego, starting with Hitler's appointment to Chancellor in 1933, leading on to the boycott of Jewish businesses, the inauguration of the Nuremberg Laws, Kristallnacht, the beginning of World War II, D Day, and ending with Hitler's suicide.

The Lego dioramas were created and upload by a British Reddit user by the name of "fifthboy," who posted the pics to his Flickr page.

The photos, naturally, caused a bit of a stir on Reddit, with one user asking if he was trivializing the "horrors of the Holocaust" and World War II through his creation of a Lego Holocaust, to which he responded, "Although that may be the case, it certainly draws attention to it."

"When on the wall, a big bright timeline will draw far more interest than a greyscale poster with lots of writing," he added.

Fifthboy added that his teacher "loved" the project" and that his mother was happy to recognize something in one of his school projects, despite that fact that it was a swastika and all.

The photos you are bout to see were created entirely with actual Lego pieces, with the only custom work being done to create Hitler's mustache. Fifthboy has also created iconic film scenes, many, many of which are Star Wars-themed.
