The stereotype about hipsters being left-wing is nothing new, and it works the same in Tel Aviv, home to flocks of plaid-wearing, beard-swinging, left-leaning music enthusiasts. (Fun fact: the city's Florentin neighborhood was named the 2nd most Hipster neighborhood in the world after Brooklyn's Willamsburg by Thrillist).

In a bid to satirize their demeanor, lifestyle, and most importantly, political leanings, Bayit Yehudi (Jewish Home) leader Naftali Bennett has created a new campaign video called "No apologies - we love Israel."

Throughout the video, Bennett, who's dressed in costume as a "hipster," - fake beard, glasses, hat, walking a tiny dog wearing a sweater, which especially in Tel Aviv is ridiculous - gets into various situations where he excessively apologizes, despite the fact that he's never at fault. A waitress spills coffee on him, a driver bumps into his car, a dog barks at his dog, etc. Every scenario, he says sorry.

The hipster Bennett proceeds to read Ha'aretz, agreeing with the headline of an editorial titled "Israel must apologize." "They're right," the right wing politician says, shaking his head.

Finally, Bennett reveals the facade and removes his costume, and says "From today, we stop apologizing. Join the Bayit Yehudi now."

The satirical ad's message, painfully clear, finds the controversial politician referring to Israel's leftists as essentially weak, useless, and a burden on Israeli society. It also sheds light upon the fact that in Israel, Tel Aviv is known to have a larger left-wing presence.
