Orthodox Paper Mistakes Luis Guzman for El Chapo

While writing about the infamous drugdealer Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, The Lakewood Shopper accidentally used a photo of comedian Luis Guzman instead

In the history of mix-ups, this is one of the most hilarious, if not, also, a tad offensive.

The Lakewood Shopper, an Orthodox Jewish newspaper based out of Lakewood, New Jersey, has made an epic blunder regarding the capture of Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman.

Guzman, who is known as this generation's Pablo Escobar, and is considered a ruthless drug kingpin responsible for exporting cocaine from Mexico via Colombia into the rest of the world, and also for countless murders, was recently captured by Mexican police.

During their write-up, however, the Lakewood Shopper placed an image accompanying the story, which, instead of depicting the drug overlord, featured one Puerto Rican-American comedian, Luis Guzman.

Luis Guzman is a popular New York comedian known for his roles in Waiting, Carlito's Way, Anger Management, and countless other films where he's made us laugh with his quirky sense of humour.

The mistake was first identified by Malei Rikud on Twitter. And of course, Guzman obviously thought the whole thing was hilarious.

It really is. Hope someone mentions it the next time he's interviewed.
