As the bells jingle, the Jews mingle.

For the past 25 years on Christmas Eve in Toronto, a night that was once associated, for Jews, at least, with stores being closed, streets being deserted, and having absolutely nothing else to do, there has been one annual party that has managed to keep us all warm, offering a big, end-of-the-year bash for young Jewish people to get together, meet new friends, network, mingle, and dance the night away.

The Matzoball.

Presented by Magen Boys Entertainment and the Jewish National Fund, taking place on Dec. 24th at 6 Degrees (Yonge + Eglington), this year's monumental quarter-century Matzo Ball extravaganza is poised to be the biggest and brightest yet.

To obtain more details surrounding the iconic annual event, we spoke to Magen Boys co-founder Jian Magen on what to expect this year.

GIVEAWAY: In honour of this year's Matzoball, Magen Boys Entertainment and Shalom Life are proud to offer TWO FREE TICKETS to this year's event. To enter, simply send an email to contests@shalomlife.com with the headline: MATZOBALL. You won't want to miss it.

"While there are many events on the social calendar, especially in this great city we are in, The Matzoball is Toronto’s go to night for the members of the Jewish community," says Magen. "This is a guaranteed night filled of fun, dancing, mingling and celebrating with like minded Jewish individuals. This is a night where Jewish people meet other Jewish people in a very casual and up beat environment."

This year's Matzoball, the 25th anniversary of the event first started in 1988, is, as always, the only party of its kind on Christmas. "This year we are anticipating to break the record of 1,800 people in 2002," says Magen. "With the Jewish National Fund (JNF) behind the event this year we are quite confident that this will be as close to the biggest one if not THE biggest party. There will be lots of entertainment including Israel’s TOP DJ, DJ Daniel Basta."

For a sneak peak of Basta's sets, check out his Soundcloud here.

Magen details that the Matzoball party, an annual institution here in Toronto, is looking to migrate across Canada in 2014. "We have plans to expand into Montreal and Vancouver in the coming year as we have the Canadian rights for this event," he says, but "Truth be told there should be a Matzoball Party in EVERY city!!"

Agreed, and if so, the event should surely use the Toronto staple as an example, particularly the venue, Six Degrees, which is the third annual host of the event. A truly unique and intimate experience, Six Degrees is an elite and upscale lounge with over 12,000 square feet of chocolate-themed arenas, sleek stainless steel bars and a host of plush leather couches.

See you all on Christmas Eve, and then again, as Jewish Christmas traditions dictate, at a movie theatre on Christmas Day (hungover), followed by a movie.

Think Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues is a good choice this year.
