Jewish A Capella Group Parodies Lorde's 'Royals' with 'Mohels' [VIDEO]

As previously reported, a European council of elected officials are trying to pass a law that will ban circumcision across Europe, prompting many Jewish groups and agencies to call it a new wave of anti-Semitism.

In 2011, a similar ban was proposed in San Francisco.

Now, amidst an outpour from Jews all over the world regarding the proposed ban, the University of Maryland a capella group Kol Ish have come out with their own response to the controversy, with a clever little number that transforms Lorde's mega-smash 'Royals' into a pro-tradition, pro-Jewish, and of course, pro-bris music video: 'Mohels'.

Though parodies are usually comical in nature, and this video certainly has those moments, its a more serious and sincere approach to educate the world of the importance of our Jewish traditions and that Jews have the right to respect their heritage by continuing to perpetuate the age-old tradition of the 'bris'.

Throughout the video, the seemingly Hasidic Jew (there's no way that's a real beard) singing the anthem tells naysayers to 'circumcise your vanity,' 'your man-made law just ain't for us, we serve a different kind of boss,' that circumcision unites the Muslim and Jewish communities, and that the 'health benefits of new born male circumcision outweigh the risks,' at least according to the American Academy of Pediatrics.
