One of the most recognizable and iconic soccer players of all time (not Pele) will make his way to Israel this Sunday as part of the World Cup trophy's mission to visit countries across the globe.

Ronaldo Luís Nazário de Lima, who won two World Cup championships with Brazil, will arrive in Israel as an official World Cup 2014 ambassador.

Israel is most likely not going to be a contender at next year's FIFA 2014 in Brazil.

Ronaldo's visit is sponsored by Coca Cola. Ynet reports that he will be greeted with the World Cup trophy in hand at a ceremony at Ben-Gurion Airport. Israel's Culture and Sports Minister, Limor Livnat, Brazil's ambassador to Israel, and other well-respected Israeli soccer players will be in attendance.

Ronaldo, though retired, is known as one of the greatest strikers in soccer history. In addition to winning trophies in 1994 and 2002, he has also gone down in history as the all-time World Cup scorer with 15 goals.

Outside of his World Cup career, Ronaldo was a sought after player in national soccer clubs, playing for Barcelona, Real Madrid and Inter Milan.

The World Cup Trophy tour became a tradition in 2006, visiting 88 countries involved with FIFA in a mere 267 days.
