Rare photos of various buildings at the Nuclear Research Center at Dimona in Israel's Negev region have been released via the architecture firm D. Eytan/R. Lahav-Rigg, who first constructed the reactor approximately 50 years ago.

Taken during the 1960s, this is the first time the black and white photos have been exposed to the public. According to a news report from Israel Defense, the images were taken during the actual construction of the reactor, which manufacture hundreds of nuclear and hydrogen bombs for Israel.

Among the photos, taken by architect Dan Eitan, are also structures that include a library, water towel and residence. They were also reportedly sent to Israeli President Shimon Peres.
