Britain's royal heir, born Monday evening to Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge, has likely already been showered with gifts from many excited Brits, but an additional present was added to the list Tuesday. Israeli President Shimon Peres has sent the royal couple a baby suit on behalf of Israel.

The President's Residence issued a special greeting card to Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton for the birth of their first son, to which the president added a special gift for the newborn – an embroidered blue-and-white baby suit reading: "From Israel with love". The suit also includes a small tie and a hat for chilly days.

President Peres congratulated the royal family and the British people on behalf of the people of Israel, and wished health and joy for the newborn: "On behalf of the people of the State of Israel, I wish to express our tremendous joy at the birth of your child – a royal baby in the most democratic country on earth.

"From Jerusalem, we pray for his health, his future and his peace. May he live to a hundred and twenty years, and I know that the whole Jewish nation joins me in wishing the entire royal family a hearty Mazal Tov."

The royal gift is making its way to the United Kingdom, where the night-long celebrations of the heir's birth continue. The card and the gift will be given to Prince William and Kate by Britain's Ambassador to Israel Matthew Gould.
