The Israeli squad needs a win, and a miracle, to advance to the next round

Following an ugly 4-0 loss to Italy on Saturday, Israel, hosts of this year's UEFA U-21 tournament, needs a miracle during their match against England tomorrow in order to stave off elimination in UEFA's Under-21 Tournament.

England, who suffered a 3-1 loss to Norway on Saturday, have no chance at advancing in the tournament. Spain, the favorites to win, have already advanced following yesterday's 1-0 decision over Germany, as have the Dutch, who annihilated Russia 5-1 during yesterday's match.

Despite a tense atmosphere amongst the Israeli squad, one Israeli athlete is joyous in anticipation of tomorrow's match: 19-year-old midfielder Omri Altman.

Altman, who was picked up by Fulham FC during the regular season from Maccabi Tel-Aviv FC, is most excited to play against the British squad, despite their current standing in the tournament. "It is not a normal game for me," Altman told UEFA.com. "I have friends in the England squad and many players I have played against. It will be a big thing for me because I also know fans are coming from England."

The youngest member of the Israeli club, coached by Guy Luzon, went on to thank UEFA for the tremendous experience. "It's such a big tournament and it's enough to just look from the bench to feel this special feeling every footballer knows. I really hope to play against England."

Israel and England face off tomorrow at 7pm in Jerusalem's Teddy Stadium; Italy and Norway square off at the same time in Tel Aviv.

Israel needs a win, and for Norway to lose heavily, in order to advance.
