Forbes Most Powerful List Puts Netanyahu at Number 23

Candidates power measured along four dimensions

Forbes Most Powerful List Puts Netanyahu at Number 23
In this year’s most powerful person list compiled by Forbes Magazine, U. S. President Barack Obama hit the number one spot for the second consecutive year, while Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu landed in the 23rd spot on the list which is comprised of 71 people.

To compile the list, Forbes considered hundreds of candidates from various walks of life all around the globe, and measured their power along four dimensions. First, we asked whether the candidate has power over lots of people. Then we looked at the financial resources controlled by each person, was he or she powerful in multiple spheres, and, finally, do the candidates actively use their power.

Other Jews on the list included Ben Bernake, chairman of the U.S. Federal Reserve, at No. 6; New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, at 16; Google co-founder Sergey Brin, at 20; Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, at 25; and Goldman-Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein, at 36 and Elon Musk, founder and CEO of SpaceX who came in at number 66.

Perhaps the most disconcerting result was that Iran’s Ayatollah Khamenei captured the 21st spot, two places in front of Bibi.
