A Scottish teacher will face a disciplinary hearing next week after he was caught sympathizing with Hitler and making sexually inappropriate comments to his students, reports The Scottish Herald.

David McNally, the religion teacher at Ayrshire's Kilwinning Academy, was reportedly telling high school students that "Hitler was not all bad - he killed the Jews" in addition to other anti-Semitic and sexually charged remarks. In accordance with the General Teaching Council of Scotland, McNally will face a disciplinary hearing that may result in not only a lifelong ban, but from working with children and young adults at all.

While this is a very isolated incident, the rise of anti-Semitism in Europe has been increasing in recent years, with many Jews across the continent avoiding Jewish gatherings for fear of harassment. If this trend continues, stories like these may become more common. Hopefully, McNally's hearing will act as a stand against those who seek to teach hate to impressionable young minds.
