Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox, and David Arquette are returning for a fourth installment of the Scream series.

The three actors will reprise their roles from the original Scream movie, which was released in 1996, and Wes Craven will return as director.

“Working with Courteney, David and Neve was a blast ten years ago and I’m sure it will be again. And I can’t wait to find the talent that will bring new blood to the screen as well,” Craven said in a statement.

Craven won’t give away any clues about the plot, but said the script had “the most hair-raising scares” he had seen since the first films.

Campbell, who was born in Guelph and raised Roman Catholic, also identifies herself as Jewish because of her mother’s Sephardic background.

The fourth installment is due out in theatres on Apr. 15, 2011 – more than a decade after Scream 3 was released in February 2000. The Scream franchise has grossed more than $500 million at the worldwide box office.
