Corey Haim

The Corey Haim Memorial Fund still needs donations to cover the cost of the actor’s Mar. 16 funeral.

Although it was widely reported that the celebrity memorabilia site had covered the entire bill, a statement posted Sunday on Haim’s website reads “Unfortunately, the amount of donation the media has reported that Startifacts made to The Corey Haim Memorial Fund was less in actuality (they donated $10,000 rather than $20,000). This means that the funeral expenses have not been taken care of in their entirety. If you haven’t donated and would like to, please know that donations are still very much needed.”

Although Haim starred in such 80s hits as The Lost Boys and License to Drive, he died almost penniless. He filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in July 1997, owing nearly $104,000 to the I.R.S. and $100,000 to the state of California for taxes and various medical expenses.
