Judy Haim, mother of late Canadian actor Corey Haim, told Access Hollywood  that the city of Toronto has agreed to cover some of the funeral bills. In a statement released on Sunday, however, the city kept mum about the situation, stating it “does not confirm or comment on any potential, pending or active applications for assistance in such matters.” Today, Toronto communications director, Kevin Sack, said to People, "The City of Toronto has never received an application for assistance with the funeral costs for Mr. Haim."

Corey Haim passed away with little money to his name, according to friend Corey Feldman. Fellow actor Chance Corbitt also said Haim often depended on public appearances and conferences for income. “It was an easy way to pay the bills," he told People. “He would do one of those conventions every other month.”  But it was recently announced that his mother wouldn’t have to foot the bills.

The Lost Boys star's funeral is scheduled for tomorrow and his mother said other people have offered support. A rep for celebrity memorabilia website,, said the company offered to pay for the tombstone and give up to $20,000 to the Haim family.
