American Idol contestant Didi Benami had a tough couple of weeks, ending with teary eyes from what the judges said to her. That changed on Monday with her rendition of the Fleetwood Mac classic "Rhiannon."

Randy Jackson, the first Idol judge to speak, thought the performance was good enough to secure her a spot next week. Ellen DeGeneres couldn’t help but crack a joke and said, “Yes indeedee, Didi.” Kara Dioguardi called Benami’s performance one of her favourite moments of the season. Even Simon Cowell was wowed by her rendition of "Rhiannon."

Benami is the daughter of Israelis, according to the Baltimore Jewish Times. The New York-native was raised in Knoxville, Tenn. and now lives in Los Angeles. On her MySpace page, Benami writes she has “faith that someday there will be peace in Israel.”

Benami will remain in the competition. She has made it to the Top 12.
