A Purim party this past weekend almost ended in disaster when the glass roof of the venue collapsed under the weight of ice and snow, sending shards of glass onto partygoers below.

Former Sex and the City star Chris Noth and several members of the U.S. reality show Jersey Shore were in attendance at the Sony Building in Manhattan, where around 300 guests had gathered to celebrate the Jewish holiday on the night of Feb. 27. Guests were evacuated from the building and four people went to hospital with injuries.

Snooki, a star of Jersey Shore, wrote on her Twitter page “Omg roof just collapsed [sic]. We thought the DJ was beatin' the beat hardcore but nope, the roof couldn't handle Snooki and Vin [castmate Vinny Guadagnino].” Her castmate Vinny Tweeted “Roof just collapsed at Purim event…. I think me and @sn00ki felt the wrath for not being Jewish.”

Noth, who currently appears on CBS’s The Good Wife, is not believed to have been hurt in the incident, and no one was seriously injured.
