Zac Efron, most famous for playing Troy Bolton in Disney’s High School Musical, is attached to star in the graphic-novel-turned-movie Fire and exec produce it with his manager, according to reports.

Efron (who’s last name means “lark” in Hebrew) is coming off of the drama The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud, which is based on a novel written by Ben Sherwood.

Fire was written by Brian Michael Bendis before he became a top writer for Marvel Comics. The graphic novel tells the story of a college student inducted into a special CIA project that tests the success of training ordinary citizens.

The movie will be produced by Neal Moritz and David Engel. It will count with Bendis to write the adaptation, according to The Hollywood Reporter. For the past two days, Bendis has been re-tweeting messages like “Brian Bendis Adapting 'Fire' Comic Book For Zac Efron” on his twitter page.

Universal has picked up the rights to Fire. However, there’s no word yet on who will direct the flick.
