Now that Regis Philbin will retire after 28 years co-hosting Live!, it's time to find a successor. Three potential replacements have been whispered about: Ryan Seacrest, Mark Consuelos and Andy Cohen. For those not in the know, the latter is a Bravo network executive, and host of Bravo's Watch What Happens: Live.

Cohen, 43, is currently billed as executive producer or co-producer of numerous shows including Project Runway, Top Chef and several of The Real Housewives series.

Ryan Seacrest, 36, of course is best known as host of American Idol. Mark Consuelos, 40, is an actor and also wed to Regis’ co-host, Kelly Ripa. Both Cohen and Consuelos have sat in the co-host chair of Live!, substituting for Philbin in the past. Likewise, both have excellent on-air chemistry with Ripa, but fans seem to rave about Ripa and Consuelo’s’ dynamic and banter -- they are wed, after all.

Philbin, 79, announced his intentions of retirement on-air in January, and will bid the show fair adieu come November. On Sunday, he won a Daytime Emmy Award for best talk show host, which he shared with Kelly Ripa and Dr. Mehmet Oz of The Dr. Oz Show.

Disney/ABC Television Group, responsible for the show’s distribution, declined to comment on who would replace Philbin
