Roger Ebert is catching some flak for his tweet following the death of Jackass star Ryan Dunn.

Following the news that Dunn had died in a car accident early this morning, Ebert joined the discussion on twitter regarding the allegations that Dunn was drinking before driving: He wrote:

Perez Hilton called the comment “extremely insensitive” and that “everyone makes mistakes, and this is somebody’s son. Too soon, Roger.”

Dunn’s last message on Twitter was a picture of himself and friends drinking hours before the crash, giving some validity to the claim that he was intoxicated while driving.

What is being lost on many is that Dunn not only took his own life, but that of a fellow passenger who still remains unidentified.

Do you agree that Ebert's tweet was insensitive?
