Have you been following our top 20 volunteers feature? Sunday night all of the nominees and this year's winners were celebrated at Six Degrees Nightclub in Toronto when 250 young professionals gathered to party, network and give their time for various Jewish social-service agencies.

The Projects initiative is a combined effort of seven Jewish program agencies: JUMP, Impact Toronto, Hillel of Greater Toronto, The Annex Shul, The House, B.A.C. and UJA’s Community Connect. The launch party hosted 15 Jewish agencies, including Reena, Zareinu, JACS Toronto, Kehilla, Circle of Care, Chai Tikvah, JIAS Toronto, Betel Centre, Baycrest, Mount Sinai, JFCS, JVS, CJPAC, Shalom Baby and VeAhavta.

"The Projects committee is thrilled that we were able to highlight Jewish agencies and the amazing work that they do. The goal was to showcase social services and to offer agencies the opportunity to outreach and engage with a demographic that is hard to reach for volunteer engagement," says committee member Alana Keyfetz.

Everyone was exceedingly thrilled for the 20 nominees who were present and proud to receive their kavod (honour) for outstanding community involvement. The nominees were: Meagan Solomon, Daniel Steinhart, Renee Goldenberg, Gilad Epstein, Anna Yalkut, Renee Rosenzweig, Oren Tamir, Terry Borer, Grant Valentine, Evan Pilz, Jordan Lubek, Jessica Taylor, Dave Goodman, Eric Kaplovich, David Warshafsky, Shael Katz, Shayna Nussbaum, Ben Barth, Evan Cooperman and Elena Metter. Even though all of these nominees are equally outstanding, Justin Lebofsky volunteer at JACS Toronto and Mount Sinai’s Yoelit Lipinsky were awarded for outstanding Leadership and Outstanding dedication

"This is the first event of this nature," Kayfetz said. "We hope to make The Projects an annual initiative. Please let us know if you have any feedback to make this event even better!"
