Legendary singer/songwriter Bob Dylan will play a concert at the Ramat Gan Stadium in Israel on June 20th, his first in the country since 1993. This latest show date comprises a nearly thirty stop tour for the 69 year-old folk legend, commencing in Taipei, Taiwan on April 3rd. Each concert will be comprised of songs from Dylan’s lengthy fifty-year career.

The Israel performance will be organized by Marcel Avraham, the promoter responsible for Leonard Cohen’s 2009 concert, Elton John’s 2010 show, and a Justin Bieber concert to be held next month over Passover.

Dylan’s scheduled performance comes in the wake of several international performers, including Elvis Costello and Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters, calling for a cultural boycott of Israel in protest of its treatment of Palestinians.

The world tour will take Dylan, who turns 70 on May 24th, throughout Asia, Australia, and Europe, with only one scheduled stop on American soil. According to the singer’s website, the tour will start in Taiwan at the beginning of April and wraps up in Costa Mesa, CA on July 15th. Sadly, there are no scheduled stops for our far land to the north of the International Boundary
