Jeanne Beker to host Scrabble with the Stars


Proceeds from the event will go to the Performing Arts Lodges of Toronto.

Jeanne Beker and Barry Flatman are the hosts of Scrabble with the Stars

Fashion Television’s Jeanne Beker and Canadian actor Barry Flatman (Just Friends, The Dead Zone) will be returning as hosts of Scramble with the Stars. The event will take place at the Arcadian Court on Monday, April 4. 

 

The evening event lets attendees mingle with celebrities and compete with them in a game of Scrabble. The players include comedian Dinah Christie, Jayne Eastwood (Chicago, My Big Fat Greek Wedding), Gordon Pinsent (Away From Her, Babar), Colin Mochrie (Whose Line is it Anyway), Yuk Yuk’s Mark Breslin, Mary Lou Fallis, Louise Pitre (Mamma Mia!), Sandi Ross (A Raisin in the Sun), Deb McGrath (Expecting), among others. 

 

In the past, the event has welcomed Margaret Atwood, Colin Fox, Graham Greene, Jayne Eastwood, Michael Burgess and a number of other stars. 

 

Scrabble with the Stars benefits Performing Arts Lodges of Toronto, an organization that helps performing arts professionals with health and affordable housing needs. Funds raised by Scrabble with the Stars will go towards providing assisted living care for PAL residents who are unable to live independently. 

 

Single seats for the event are $150. Guests will be treated to dinner and the opportunity to play a game of Scrabble with a celebrity.
