La Dolce Vita: Bar Refaeli, the 25-year-old Israeli supermodel and girlfriend of Leonardo DiCaprio, has recently purchased a new home in Tel Aviv. What kind of home? A magnificent one with a sea-side view.

According to Yedioth Ahronoth, Bar Refaeli has bought a luxurious 370 square meter apartment stretching over half of the seventh floor at Tel Aviv’s Blue project for 10 million NIS, which is roughly $2.8 million USD.

The elite housing project, which is owned by the Canada-Israel real-estate group, is located by the sea at the northern border of Tel Aviv. It contains six dazzling towers with more than 300 luxurious apartments. The towers have two central lobbies, built in the shape of a glass cube, a swimming pool, a spa, a gym and tennis courts. Each building has its own lobby and two smart elevators designed for minimum waiting.

This is Refaeli's first real estate purchase. Up to now, she has been renting a place in the Tower-W project, also situated in Tel Aviv. The decision to live in the Blue towers came after a lot of apartment-hunting all across Tel Aviv’s more exclusive housing options. What closed the deal was the proximity to the sea.

The super model, and also recent star of the film Session, had her apartment designed and furnished by Ilan Pivko, one of Israel’s most regarded architects. According to some entertainment industry specialists, Refaeli bought the apartment with the intentions of living in it and not as an investment.

There has been some speculations regarding the model’s intentions of living in Israel or moving abroad. This move proves she does see a future in the country.
