Although Johnny Depp and partner Vanessa Paradis announced their trip to Israel earlier this year, the affair will be slightly more star-studded than originally planned.

The couple and their two daughters will be arriving in Israel for a performance by Paradis, who is a singer, at the Tel Aviv Performing Arts Center on February 10. Paradis plans to arrive two days before the performance, followed by her family et al. The entourage is rumoured to include German fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, French actress Isabelle Adjani, French singer and actress Bambou (Serge Gainsburg's last girlfriend), and several other French and American public figures.

David Stern, the producer for Paradis' performance, would not shed light on who else is accompanying Depp, but indicated the concert would be a big-name affair.

"There is a long list of important people from the music and film industries who have expressed their desire to come here," Stern told Ynet. "It was a one in a million chance that she would accept the invitation to visit here. . . I had no idea when we started the journey that the Tel Aviv opera house will turn into the equivalent of the opening ceremony at the Cann Film Festival for one night."

Depp has a massive international following due to his roles in numerous successful films such as Edward Scissorhands, the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy by Disney, and other Tim Burton films. Paradis too has made a name for herself as a pop-princes, star actress and the face of Chanel. Her film appearances include Noce Blanche, and most recently the French romantic comedy box office hit "Heartbreaker," released earlier this year.

"The Israeli people are not familiar with the long way that Paradis has come since her famous song 'Joe Le Taxi,'" said Stern. "She really is a huge star, and we are preparing an unforgettable night for the Tel Aviv audience."

Ticket prices for the performance range from NIS 200 ($55) to NIS 1000 ($277) and can be purchased online at the Israeli Opera Tel Aviv-Yafo website.
