Justin Bieber

Around the world girls are screaming and fainting, and it's not the Beatles or Twilight's 20-something Robert Pattinson. The 16-year-old Canadian teen heartthrob Justin Bieber has made it international: and now he'll be charming Israel.

The concert will take place on April 14, 2011.

Producer Marcel Avraham struck the deal with Bieber, which will see him perform at Yarkon Park in Tel Aviv, a space that sees an estimated 16 million visitors a year and is 3.8 square kilometres in size. As a venue, the Bieber concert will aim to fill up the grass with 60,000 teenagers.

Avraham has been behind successful concerts of other big name performers such as Elton John, Rod Stewart, Metallica and Leonard Cohen. Yedioth Ahroneth reported that six other producers attempted to strike a deal with Bieber before Avraham sealed the deal.

Initially the plan was to host the concert at Israel's national soccer stadium, Ramat Gan, that has 41,583 seats, and is where Elton John, Depeche Mode, Leonard Cohen, Sting, and Metallica played their acts, but the teen's massive stardom has risen him above even these musical giants, it seems.

The estimated price tag for the Yarkon Park concert: more than $1.5 million.

For those who don't have "Bieber fever" or aren't on the Bieber bandwagon (or clinging frantically to it!), he was born in Stratford, Ontario, and was first noticed at the age of 12 when his mother posted clips of him singing cover songs online.

His debut album "My World" was released last year and all of its songs made it to the Billboard music charts in the United States, something that is actually historically rare. His debut song was the biggest hit, entitled "One Time," and it topped the charts in several countries. "Baby" also got massive attention, becoming the most watched clip on Youtube this past July with more than 360 million views.
