How does an advertising agency follow the most successful presidential online campaign? By trying to brand one of the most polarizing and challenging countries in the world: Israel.

American marketing agency SS+K, the agency responsible for US President Barack Obama’s online campaign and Lance Armstrong’s LIVESTRONG wristbands, has been hired to brand Israel to a diverse target audience and to assist with an Israeli public relations campaign in the U.S.

SS+K specializes in online marketing, mainly within social networks.  The agency has been paid a $250,000 fee for its work.  Over the weekend, SS+K’s executives met with Deputy Foreign Minister Daniel Ayalon in New York to present him with their campaign thoughts.

The consensus within the advertising world is that Obama’s online campaign was done flawlessly, and greatly helped in garnering the younger votes.  This campaign, which was initiated by the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations and Brand Israel, a Jewish-American organization, will be a massive challenge that will be considered a huge success should it receive even a share of the positive reaction that their previous campaigns have received.
