Will there be a second Israeli astronaut launched into space following the late Ilan Ramon?

Israeli Minister of Science & Technology, Daniel Hershkowitz, met with NASA Administrator Charles Bolden on Tuesday. They discussed technological cooperation between Israel and the US and moreover, the possibility of sending another Israeli astronaut into space. The two met during a state dinner at NASA's Washington headquarters.

After the meeting with Bolden, a former astronaut, Hershkowitz told the press, "We talked about it, but the timing isn't clear because of the suspension of manned missions in NASA. It may happen in a Russian spaceship."
