Every week, Jewish celebrities seem to be grabbing some headlines. This past week...

Jerry Seinfeld bashes Lady Gaga. The pop singer stirred controversy when she attended a Mets game in late June. After flipping the bird to photographers at the game, Lady Gaga was ushered by staff to Seinfeld's private box seat. Seinfeld called out the singer and also took offense to the staff's actions. "You give people the finger and you get upgraded? Is that the world we're living in now?" he said on a New York radio show. "This woman is a jerk. I hate her. I can't believe they put her in my box, which I paid for."

Speaking of New York, former governor Eliot Spitzer is reportedly CNN's newest TV personality. Spitzer has been signed to co-host an upcoming show in the fall with Pulitzer Prize-winning writer Kathleen Parker. The hour-long program's name is yet to be decided.

In Canadian news, rock legends Rush recently received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Fellow artist Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins presented the honour to Rush. However, the trio's frontman Geddy Lee is also busy with other ventures. Lee acquired the film and TV rights to BaseballismoBaseballismo is a book released in 2005, written by Rheostatics lead singer Dave Bidini about his experiences in Nettuno, Italy.

Rush wasn't the only artist receiving accolades. Awards season has been kind to Drake so far. A week after winning two MuchMusic Video Awards, the Jewish rapper won Best Male Hip-Hop Artist at the BET Awards on Sunday night. Drake, who performed singles from his number one album Thank Me Later at the event, also won Best Group along with his record label Young Money.

Drake also made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live last week where he debuted a comedic collaboration with Kimmel. The song is titled "Tweet Tweet" and not surprisingly, talks about the influence of celebrity tweets. Kimmel said, "This could be bigger than Pac-Man Fever."
