On the weekend that celebrates the best in music videos, one event will stand out from the rest as the ‘tastemaker event of the summer.’ It’s called The Block, an invite-only experience that takes the “party” to a completely new place.

As the brainchild of Kalynn Crump and Jeff Roach of Event Magnifique (producers of Rockstar Hotel), The Block is precedent setting.

Highlighting all that is exciting about “after-parties” with none of the mundane, The Block will offer its celebrity guests three separate parties to enjoy in one city block.

Event Magnifique will take over three spaces along Queen Street West, from John Street to St. Patrick, with guests first walking the red carpet at the Umbra Concept store and then hopping into a rickshaw to hit up the other two venues. Each party will feature its own celebrity DJs, sponsored gifting installations, and many unexpected, unforgettable experiences lining the way.

“We’re taking the VIP experience that you'd normally find at a party and expanding on it by doing something that’s never been done before,” said Crump. “By targeting an elite clientele that is familiar with the party scene but perhaps a bit jaded of the same old thing, we are aiming for an innovative integration with The Block's partners.”  Crump went on to explain, “Each venue begins as a raw space, and then we just play with it to make it something else.”

Adding to the evening’s vibe will be live performances presented by BlackBerry featuring The Ravonettes, Bonjay, CFCF, Nacho Lovers and more.
