The Israeli Opera will be performing Verdi's Aida at the foot of Masada this month.

The gala performance will be conducted by Daniel Oren, an Israeli maestro. Oren’s career as an international maestro began in 1975 when he won the first ever Herbert von Karajan award. Today, he’s a regular conductor in opera houses around the globe, including New York's Metropolitan Opera.

This unique production, with the mountain of Masada as a backdrop, will include world-renowned singers Hui He, Piero Giuliacci and Paata Burchuladze. The Israeli opera chorus, opera orchestra, and the Israeli Symphony Orchestra Rishon LeZion will be in attendance. The event will feature special lighting, sound and fire effects
