Since IDF sailors were forced to defend their lives after boarding one of the ships on a flotilla bound for Gaza, the world's outrage has been directed at Israel. It's time for our community to learn how we can speak up for Israel and fight the hypocrisy with which Israel is being judged. Join us for this urgent community briefing featuring:

• Amir Gissin, Israel's Consul General

• Professor Ed Morgan on Israel’s rights under international law

• British Colonel Richard Kemp by phone from the UK (Kemp defended Israel’s actions during the Gaza War before the UN Human Rights Commission)

• University students Becky Cherniak & Noah Kochman on how they’re speaking up for Israel online

• How community members can speak up for Israel as well

• A look at Israel's compliance with maritime law

• The latest developments from Israel in the raid's aftermath

• A question and answer session.

The briefing will take place on Monday, June 7, 2010 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Adath Israel Congregation (37 Southbourne Avenue, Toronto)

RSVP is a must.  Please contact Leigh Brown:  lbrown@ujafed.org or 416.635.2883 x5394
