Nikki Yanofsky will perform the hit “I Beleive” at the Air Canada Centre for the first ever Toronto District School Board professional development conference, according to the Globe and Mail. The song meshes with the conference’s theme of ‘belief.’

According to the newspaper, nearly 20,000 students, parents and educators will gather during an afternoon to discuss learning strategies.

Among the guest speakers at the conference will be Avis Glaze, a founder of the Ministry of Education's Literacy and Numeracy Secretariat and Larry Lezotte, an education activist in the United States.

A number of people have criticized the event’s original $345,000 price tag. The conference has since been scaled down.

“I guess if I had to sum it all up I don't really know how it came about, but I'm super, super happy that it did and I'm soooo honoured to be a part of this great project,” the Montreal singer told Shalom Life about how she got involved with the Olympic theme song.
