Screen grab of I.S.R.A.E.L. Attack!

The game starts off with a character yelling “You lied to me, Jew Producer.” The character is infuriated that the Jew Producer fails to fulfill his mission to kill characters from the now-defunct Drawn Together animated series. From there, a robot named Intelligent Smart Robot Animation Eraser Lady (or I.S.R.A.E.L.) is off to finish the job.

This is the premise of a new game on Comedy Central’s website called “I.S.R.A.E.L. Attack!” The game is supposed to promote the DVD release of Drawn Together.

After much backlash from media, Comedy Central removed the opening line from “I.S.R.A.E.L. Attack!” on May 17, though the game itself remains on the site.

Reporter Dvir Abramovich of The Sydney Morning Herald wrote, “What was Comedy Central thinking? Why anyone would want to perpetuate such vile stereotypes and prejudices, as well as inject this type of toxic incitement into the minds of young and old is beyond me. I’m not laughing.”

The Jewish Internet Defense Force is also disappointed with the Comedy Central game. The group is urging others to send feedback to the network and “explain how repulsive their double standards, hypocrisy, anti-Semitism, and portrayal of Israel like this is 100% unacceptable.”
