Factory Theatre is reviving their smash hit Zadie’s Shoes to close their 2010-2011 season.

Written by Adam Pettle, Zadie’s Shoes explores the nature of luck and the power of faith through a family story about gambling. The play originally premiered at Factory in 2000 before transferring to Mirvish Productions, where it enjoyed a nearly sold-out run.

“The Factory mission is to reflect the Canadian experience through the imagination of our playwrights and theatre creators, and this is a season that accomplishes that with an inspiring theatrical verve,” said Artistic Director Ken Gass in a statement. “Factory’s 41st all-Canadian season is diverse, eclectic, language-rich, provocative and daring – all Factory hallmarks.”

This new production will be co-directed by brothers Adam and Jordan Pettle, who played the main character in the Mirvish production.

Zadie’s Shoes will run April 30-June 5, 2011. Subscriptions and single tickets for Factory Theatre’s 41st anniversary season are now on sale. For more information, visit www.factorytheatre.ca.
