The Sarah Silverman Program

After rumours of cancellation, Sarah Silverman’s sister and co-star, Laura, started a campaign on Twitter in hopes of saving Silverman's comedy sketch show. She tweeted, “If you want more #sarahsilvermanprogram tweet @ComedyCentral and let them know. It's up to you! Power to the People, Right On.” According to New York magazine, hundreds of fans have re-tweeted the message.

Since the beginning of its third season, The Sarah Silverman Program has encountered problems. Comedy Central refused to fund the show, so instead an outside company called LOGO took the reins. Then on Thursday, cast member Brian Posehn hinted that there may not be a fourth season.

“Well, I think we're probably done with the show. But we felt that kind of going in. Just because it was so tough to get them to give us the money to do the third season, we had to jump through so many hoops,” Posehn told the TV Squad. “I feel like we're lucky to have done what we've done, and I would be very happy to come back and do a season four. But I'd also be completely surprised if it happened.”

Posehn also revealed that there have been talks to create a spinoff  around his character on The Sarah Silverman Program.
