The Daily Show’s Jon Stewart is almost set for retirement, with the hilarious Jewish television host wrapping up his last few weeks on air.

Yesterday, our other favourite Jewish comedian, Amy Schumer, kicked off the last week of Jon Stewart’s television series.

Schumer and Stewart primarily spoke about Schumer’s latest film, Trainwreck, the actress’s friendship with Jennifer Lawrence, and the Lafayette shootings.

Schumer spoke to Stewart about the time her, Lawrence, and a couple of Schumer’s girlfriends went to a cottage in the Hamptons, and also revealed a number of photos with Lawrence from the cottage. The Trainwreck star contested that in the photos, she looks like Lawrence’s “coach.”

“She’s the coolest chick you’ll ever meet,” Schumer said about Lawrence. “In all the pictures we took together I look like her coach. I look like I just got finished telling her to take a knee.”

Stewart told Schumer that she is an actress-star, alluding to her recent new film, and the fact that she was offered a position on The Daily Show upon Stewart’s retirement.

The two Jewish comedians also discussed Schumer’s meeting with her cousin, Senator Chuck Schumer, a New York Democrat. The two spoke about stricter gun control laws in the wake of the Lafayette shootings.

“I was like legit heartbroken just to get that news,” said Schumer. “I got a call and I had a lot of missed calls so assumed there was a sex tape of me out, or something… To hear that news, it broke my heart. It was so horrible.”
