Lena Dunham is known for her quirkiness, her appearance in the hit HBO television series, Girls, and for her writing talent.

Now, Dunham is launching a newsletter called Lenny. According to Dunham’s Jewish partner, Jenni Konner, the newsletter is named after “an old Jewish man, and we love old Jewish men.” Lenny is also the name that people frequently call the duo by accident on the Girls set.

Dunham and Konner invited prospective readers to sign up for the newsletter on Tuesday, which showcase topics concerning feminism, politics, fashion and current events.

In addition to being the creator of Girls and making a number of guest appearances in television and film, the Jewish actress is also a prominent writer, who came under fire a couple of months ago for her op-ed titled, ‘Dog or Jewish boyfriend? A Quiz.’

The piece by Dunham was criticized as being insensitive, ignorant and offensive. Many supporters, however, argued that Dunham was just writing her perspective on a personal experience.

Dunham explained that the newsletter would mainly target men and women of the millennial generation. She believes her demographic to be “an army of like-minded intellectually curious women and the people who love them, who want to bring change but also want to know, like, where to buy the best tube top for summer that isn’t going to cost your entire paycheck.”

Former editor at Jezebel and Slate, Jessica Grose will be the newsletter’s editor-and-chief and producer, Benjamin Cooley, wil be the CEO.

Goop, Gwyneth Paltrow’s newsletter served as an inspiration for Lenny. Dubham told Buzzfeed, “Jenni and I have always been obsessed with Goop. We feel strongly that even if some of it is aspirational, it’s aspirations like ‘I want to know how to take care of my body and soufflé something.’”
