Jewish banking heir James Rothschild has reportedly married the heir of the Hilton hotel fortune, Nicky Hilton.

Hilton, age 31, was said to have worn a beautiful Couture gown embroidered with crystals, and featuring ivory and silver guipure.

Actress and television star Paris Hilton attended the wedding, serving as her sister's maid of honour. "So happy that my sister found the man of her dreams," Paris posted on her Instagram account during the wedding.

The wedding went off almost perfectly, with the exception of a small mishap when Hilton's vintage lace veil became caught under the tire of a Bentley as she was entering the palace.

Rothschild, ever the mensch, reportedly secretly flew to the United States to ask Nicky's parents for her hand in marriage.

Although many have been wondering if the reception was Jewish or kosher in any way, the candlelit crab and lobster dinner would seem to indicate otherwise.

This is not particularly surprising, considering the Rothschild family hasn't been religious in quite some time. Descending from Mayer Amschel Rothschild, a court Jew to the Landgraves of Hesse-Kassel in the free city of Frankfurt, the Rothschild family owe their fortune to the establishment of Mayer's banking business in 1760. It was during the 19th century when the Rothschild fortune was at its peak, with the family having possessed the largest private fortune in modern world history.

So although we shouldn't really expect to see any of their children singing at the family Seder, we can at least look forward to Paris Hilton being a crazy aunt.
