The internet has been ablaze with news regarding Louis C.K.'s hosting of Saturday Night Live's 40th season finale this past weekend, with publications like CNN, Deadline and Hollywood Reporting asking if the popular comedian went "too far".

Louie's monologue goes off like one of his own stand-up bits, targeting controversial, but real, issues that a lot of people are frankly too scared to touch.

It was indeed a rarity for network television.

Louie starts off by acknowledging that he has "mild racism," which he attests to having grown up during the 70's. Then, he transitions from "the only thing that hasn't changed since the 70's is the Middle East" to likening his two daughters to Israel and Palestine.

In this particular scenario, of course, Louis plays the role of America.

"My kids are like Israel and Palestine and I'm like America. The little one's like Palestine because she always gets screwed, she gets the worst deal," Louie joked.

"The older one is like Israel, she comes up to me like, 'She burnt all my dolls!' I'm like, 'Look, I can't do anything about it right now. Your sister is crazy, please don't make me talk to her. I'll work it out, you and me. I'll buy you a really cool missile and whatever you do with it is totally up to you," he continued.

Following his political commentary, he continues to tackle subjects that surely made some people in the crowd uneasy, explaining how child molesters most likely enjoy raping children as he much as he enjoys Mounds bars.
