Nazi Christmas Ornaments Available Online

Czech Republic’s answer to eBay, Aukro, currently has Christmas decorations available featuring swastika’s.

According to the original seller, the ornaments are “original SS Christmas tree decorations used over 70 years ago” and are being offered at approximately $90 US.

The red and brown blown glass decorations, which the seller promises are “in original colours and good condition… these are very precious pieces,” feature a large black swastika.

The seller promises his “Christmas decorations of SS units” are “authentic and not damaged,” going on to describe his product as “fancy” and a “luxury”.

As expected, the Christmas items with Nazi symbolism have sparked outrage in the Czech Republic. Many users of the popular auction site have visited Aukro’s Facebook page to share their opinions.

“It makes me sick… My granddad would cry if he saw this. It is incredible that we have something like this here now,” one commenter said.

“This is absolutely disgraceful,” another woman wrote. “My grandparents fought in the resistance against the Nazis and remember the atrocities committed by the SS. The SS could sit around and have fun at Christmas with their pretty baubles while thousands were being tortured and murdered by them. These disgusting decorations should be destroyed, not preserved.”

“Are you kidding me?... I would forbid it,” another man added.

The seller justified his actions by explaining that “I declare that I am not a member of any movement aimed at suppressing human rights and freedoms or the movement which support national, racial or class hatred to other group of people. I don’t support movements like the SS either.”

The ornaments are still available for sale on the site.
