Barbara Walters ’10 Most Fascinating People’ is Returning

Last year, ABC announced that Barbara Walter’s ’10 Most Fascinating People’ special would not continue beyond 2013. However, the network announced on Tuesday that it will be returning for at least one more year.

On December 14th, Walters will host a 2-hour special featuring the 10 public figures the legendary interview has deemed 2014’s “Most Fascinating”. So far, Oprah Winfrey, newly-appointed Academy Awards host Neil Patrick Harris, Chelsea Handler, and Scarlett Johansson have been confirmed.

"I was absolutely delighted when ABC approached me to do another year of 10 Most Fascinating People,” said Walters in a statement. “I know we said last year was our last, but there are just too many fascinating people out there…and you never pass up the opportunity to interview Oprah, Neil, Chelsea or Scarlett.”

Last year’s most fascinating person was Hillary Clinton.

Walters has been running the annual special on ABC since 1993.
