Earlier this year, controversial actor Shia LaBeouf was spotted with a missing tooth. Rumours began spreading that he intentionally had it extracted for a film role, but nothing was ever confirmed.

While speaking with GQ magazine, LaBeouf’s ‘Fury’ co-star Logan Lerman has finally confirmed the rumour, as well as providing additional info about the other great lengths LaBeouf went to for the role.

“He didn’t do it himself, he did go to a dentist and asked them to pull his tooth out but yeah, what an odd request,” Lerman explained of LaBeouf’s choice.

Lerman shared that LaBeouf also took a real knife to his face because he wasn’t happy with the authenticity of the special effects makeup.

“We were in make-up and they were putting cuts on Shia and I said, ‘Yeah, yeah, it looks good.’ And Shia was like, ‘No, it doesn’t look real.’ Then he walks out unto the hallway and says ‘Hey man, wanna see something fun? Check this out…’ and he takes out a knife and cuts his face. And for the whole movie he kept opening these cuts on his face. That’s all real,” Lerman explains.

‘Fury’, following a five-man crew attempting to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany in 1945, co-stars LaBeouf, Lerman, Brad Pitt, and Scott Eastwood. It is set to be released later this month.
