Now that rumors have been quashed regarding Chelsea Handler’s plan to take over Craig Ferguson’s hosting gig on CBS’ ‘Late Late Show’, late night fans are starting to question who might instead.

After David Letterman announced his retirement from ‘The Late Show’, Stephen Colbert was confirmed as his replacement almost immediately. Now, CBS is spending a little more time searching for the perfect host to fill Ferguson’s shoes.

"Plan number one has to be something that fits with Colbert to build a franchise," a media buying firm rep told The Hollywood Reporter.

"[Letterman and Ferguson] always seemed to be separate shows, and now with a clean slate and Colbert in place, they're going to go for something more seamless."

So who would be a good fit with Colbert? Some of the names being considered by CBS are former ‘Late Late Show’ contenders Aisha Tyler and Michael Ian Black, ‘Community’ star Joel McHale, ‘Daily Show’ regulars Jason Jones and John Hodgman, and Amy Schumer.

Who do you think should take over the reigns at ‘Late Late Night’?
