Mayim Bialik- actress, neuroscientist, vegan cook book author, and Jewish mommy blogger- has joined forced with Cruelty-Free International to support their ongoing efforts to ban animal testing for cosmetics in the United States.

“It is very important to me to speak out on behalf of animals who cannot protest their suffering and ask the compassionate people of the United States to join me, and Cruelty Free International, to call on the U.S Government to end the outdated use of animals for cosmetics testing once and for all,” Bialik said.

“It doesn’t take a genius to know that using animals for these cruel and unnecessary tests is unjustifiable,” she continued.

Cruelty-Free International couldn’t be happier to have Bialik join them in their fight.

“We are delighted that Mayim has joined us to speak out for the thousands of animals who continue to suffer in cosmetics tests here in the U.S. With the introduction of the Humane Cosmetics Act and Cruelty Free International’s new scientific cosmetics report to help governments move away from animal tests, we are hopeful that it won’t be long before animal cosmetics testing here in the U.S is consigned to history,” said Cruelty-Free International CEO, Michelle Thew.

Cruelty-Free International is seeking signatures to their petition which can be found here.
